Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can the awning be mounted on a soffit?

Soffit installation requires mounting the awning brackets to the underside of the soffit, which is the bottom surface of the eave. Soffit brackets are needed, and if you're mounting to sloped rafters, rafter adapter brackets may also be required.

2. Do I need to retract the awning during a storm or hurricane?

Yes. The awning can withstand winds up to about 30 mph, but if a storm or hurricane is approaching, it's best to retract it entirely. You can secure it with the straps or remove it altogether if necessary. That way, you avoid any risk of damage.

3. Can this product be mounted to a house that has vinyl siding?
Sorry, vinyl siding may not provide enough support for installation. We recommend mounting it on concrete, solid brick, or wood walls for better stability.

4. What is the delivered weight and can one person install it?

The package weights about 58.7 lbs. It is recommended to have at least 2 people work on the installation.

5. Is this water proof where it mounts to the wall? Or is there a gap between the wall and awning?

There is a gap between the wall and the awning.
